The Higdon House Inn, a bed and break-
fast, is located in Historic Greensboro,
Georgia, 80 miles east of Atlanta, 60 miles
west of Augusta (on I-20) and 30 miles
south of Athens.
Elegance and grace marks the Higdon
House Inn with views of its gardens and
pecan trees standing guard over the
gracious structure. The interior of the
house is decorated with antiques and
relics gathered from around the world.
The property was purchased in 1809 by
James H. Nickelson from the University of
Georgia. The original structure was built in
1810. Several families followed in
ownership, each adding a new section to
the house. The Antebellum home was
purchased from Kay Higdon in 2001.
The historic home in Greensboro has
retained its charm as a bed and breakfast
inn. Nestled within a peaceful community
and away from the bustle of larger towns,
this home has been transformed into a
bed & breakfast by its current owners,
Jack Rallo and Jeff Hough.
