Kids sunglasses are one of the most important things to have. Children's eyes are particularly sensitive to solar radiation. Without protective pigments, the child's crystalline lens is completely transparent and his/her pupil is strongly dilated.
The result is that children receive far more harmful solar rays than adults. Babies absorb virtually 100% of ultraviolet and infra-red radiation.
Before the age of one year, a child's eye absorbs 90% of UVAs and 50% of UVBs. At the age of 13, the eye absorbs 60% of UVAs and 25% of UVBs. Only after the age of 25 is the eye capable of protecting itself.
