Hello, and welcome to m morian designs! Please feel free to browse our site, and let us know how we can help you build a presence on the web...
My name is Marcy Morian. Having completed the Kennesaw Internet Professional (KIP) Program at Kennesaw State University, I have learned the most up-to-date methods in web design, including interactive design and best practices for making websites "user friendly". I have developed my graphic design skills on a freelance basis for many years, and I enjoy seeing designs come to life on the web.
I have found that, while many business owners could truly benefit from having a website to promote their products and services, they find that the concept of hiring someone to create a website is intimidating. I would like to help remove that "fear of the unknown," and provide clients with the perfect web solution, large or small, customized to fit their needs.
I invite you to view my project portfolio below (best viewed in Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox), which represents the projects completed throughout the KIP program.
Let me know how I can help you establish your business presence, on the web or in print:

Challenge: "Teleport" a person or object from one setting into another, using PhotoShop selection, shading and lighting techniques to make it believable.
Vision: Take a bride, change her dress to cinderella blue, and place her, with some friends, in an enchanted forest.
Challenge: Restore a scratched, faded or otherwise damaged photo using PhotoShop techniques.
Vision: This was a very old picture, circa 1930, that needed to be repaired while keeping the nostalgic look and feel of that era.
Challenge: By using PhotoShop and graphic design principles, create a multi-layered composition of images that communicate a particular theme or message, using a minimum of 4 photos.
Vision: A daydreaming child with visions of a summer day at a carnival.
Challenge: Use Adobe Illustrator and logo design principles to create one logo for a non-internet business or service and one logo for my own marketing materials.
Vision: Keep the images clear and memorable in a way to create strong branding for the company.
Challenge: Create a layout in PhotoShop for two pages of an art related site that addresses user needs as well as owner needs. A home page and a gallery page were designed and then coded for the web.
Vision: Make use of the artist's beautiful paintings in the design while keeping the backdrop neutral enough to show off her work, and make navigation clear and inviting.
Challenge: Create a multi-page website that sells a product or service, focusing on conveying a clear message to the intended audience. The site must contain at least 3 pages, including a form using custom validation for required fields and data integrity. All HTML and CSS must be valid.
Vision: Create a site intended for the affluent man or woman, with less verbal content and more images to entice a visit to the store.
Challenge: Identify a site in need of an update in terms of appearance and functionality with a minimum of 3 pages plus a form with validation.
Vision: Give the site a more up-to-date look, with more usability for the audience, and a means for volunteers to easily update content. See the original site here.
Challenge: Create a 10 to 30 second web-based commercial for a particular product. The commercial will sell or advertise a product and link to the company's web site. The commercial can make use of a sound track.
Vision: Use pictures of some of "life's big moments" to show how nostalgia and modern technology can work together.
Challenge: Create an e-commerce style site using a combination of Flash, HTML and CSS. The site should contain the traditional pages of any site, including a functional form as well as a products page displaying a minimum of 5 products.
Vision: Provide a showcase for the various styles and colors of the product for a price-conscious audience that loves to have fun and is concerned about the environment.
